What TestConnect does
TestConnect is a free-to-use community platform for organising air tightness, Pulse retrofit and acoustic testing requests. It lets SAP assessors and work providers send jobs to their own known testers, or publish anonymised jobs to an approved local panel where they need extra cover.
The idea is simple: stop good smaller firms being squeezed out just because larger companies have more vans. Local jobs should go to competent local people where possible, saving travel, fuel and time.
This is not a sales channel for any single company and it is not designed to take anyone’s clients. It is software, job routing, file storage and app workflow to help the industry work more fairly.
TestConnect is currently free to use while the network is built. We may review this later to cover reasonable running costs only.
For SAP assessors and work providers
- Create sites, house types and plot lists once.
- Upload reusable site plans, type drawings and requirements.
- Send work directly to your known testers, or publish it to the approved panel.
- Use staff logins that hide prices from employees where needed.
- Share your company details only with companies you choose.
For testing companies
- See local jobs in areas you actually cover.
- Accept available jobs without quoting races.
- Receive app notifications for new jobs and updates.
- Open site navigation in Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps.
- Upload photos, evidence and the final PDF certificate/report.
Important responsibility position
TestConnect provides software, file storage, app notifications and connection tools only. TestConnect is not the tester, assessor, certifier, employer, contractor, principal contractor or principal designer for any job.
Each SAP assessor, tester, acoustic consultant, site team and client remains responsible for their own professional work, scheme membership, insurance, calibration, attendance, calculations, certificates, report accuracy, site safety and contractual responsibilities.
Envelope areas entered by assessors are useful guidance, but the air tester must complete their own envelope calculations from the drawings and satisfy their own scheme/reporting duties.
Files are stored securely and normally retained for up to 12 months, subject to reasonable storage limits. Do not rely on TestConnect as your only archive.
How jobs work

| Panel job | The job is anonymised and sent to approved testers who cover the postcode and service type. Developer/client details stay hidden until assignment. |
| Private/internal | A company can use TestConnect as free job software for their own testers and staff. |
| Retrofit/Pulse | Pulse-style retrofit airtightness requests can be posted as a distinct service type. |
