What TestConnect is

TestConnect is free community software for organising testing jobs, site files, plot information, photos, reports, app notifications and company connections.

TestConnect is currently free to use while the network is built. We may review this later to cover reasonable running costs only.

It is intended to help smaller local firms compete fairly and reduce avoidable driving. It is not built to devalue professional testing work.

What TestConnect is not

TestConnect provides software, file storage, app notifications and connection tools only. TestConnect is not the tester, assessor, certifier, employer, contractor, principal contractor or principal designer for any job.

TestConnect does not guarantee any tester, assessor, client, site, certificate, report, result, appointment, payment or file availability. Users must carry out their own checks and keep their own records.

Rules for users

• Only real jobs may be posted.
• Only competent, insured and correctly registered professionals should accept work.
• Air tightness testers must be ATTMA or Elmhurst airtightness scheme registered where applicable.
• Pulse/retrofit requests must be accepted only by people competent for that work and equipment.
• Envelope areas entered by SAP assessors/work providers are guidance only. The tester must complete their own envelope calculations from drawings and relevant information.
• Do not misuse other companies’ names, documents, drawings, jobs or identities.
• Do not use the platform to spam, poach, harass, fake demand or damage trust.

TestConnect may approve, reject, suspend or ban any user or company at its discretion.

Stored files

Files are stored for convenience and normally retained for up to 12 months, subject to reasonable limits. Files may include drawings, plans, photos, evidence and PDF reports.

TestConnect aims to keep files secure, but users must not rely on the platform as their only copy. Keep your own project records, certificates and evidence.
